News Bytes, December 2005 Group Meeting Notes by James N. Thames

Welcome to the continuing saga of Austin Seth Groups.  Now most of 2005 has gone and the events of the year have been even more life-changing for me.  Yet the travel of my conscious focus brings me once again to this little project, to grow it a little more.

And, now: let there be content!

2004 was a year in which a lot of divergent roads converged.  The Seth Group meetings at Kim's house were one road.  There was also the Awakenging Tribe in which Yvonne, Kim, and I were also members - another road.  Then there's the renewed communication with my sons after 20 years of not hearing from them.

That was another road which converged with the road of my relationship with my biological father who I never saw until age 43.  In 2004, I drove from Austin to Emory, Texas to pick Dad up and drive him out to Las Vegas, Nevada and San Diego, California for a meeting with my sons and grandsons, his grandsons and greatgrandsons.

But then there's the Arkansas Road.  It first started in May when Kim and I drove up near Hot Springs for the Awakening Tribe Arkansas Crystal Hunt campout trip.  The Tribe went crystal hunting at the Coleman Mine and experienced the special energies these crystals represent.

Then in September, Yvonne invited several of her friends to go with her and see the showing of the movie "What the BLEEP do we know?" down on the drag near the U.T. campus at the Dobie mall.  One of Yvonne's friends was Jo Ann, and Jo Ann brought her friend Crecia who was originally from Arkansas.

Crecia says that when she first saw me that night, it was like "lightening striking" and "THAT'S HIM!" all at once.  But she sat behind me in the theater, so that my time to really notice and be interested in Crieca was outside just after the movie, and later, where Yvonne was hosting a group discussion of the movie.

Jo Ann and Crecia both worked for Texas State government in the same office.  I worked for a different State office, but it so happened that later on that month I was scheduled to interview for a job in Crecia's office.

See that?  Everything fits together.  Crecia and I had struck up an email correspondence since the movie, and went on our first date for lunch when I was done with the interview.  Then Crecia went with me to an Awakening Tribe meeting a couple of days later.

For Crecia and me on that night, our magical connection struck and we entered a new probability as a couple.  Simultaneously in this time, Crecia joins the Seth Group meetings over at Kim's place and I start spending my nights over at Crecia's apartment.

This was the start of a courtship of "growing" partners which continues to this day.  I proposed to Crecia in December before we drove together from Austin to her family home near Pocahontas, Arkansas.  Perhaps it was significant that we saw the visual spectacle of a rarely experienced white Christmas on this particular year there in Arkansas.

So, the Arkansas road converged with all the others in 2004.  In 2005, new roads emerged.  Crecia and I got married in an Awakening Tribe ceremony with Jan and Kay presiding ministers during February.  Then we did another trip to Arkansas.  We did more trips to Arkansas in the spring and summer.

Meanwhile, the Seth Group meetings at Kim's tapered off, but Crecia and I still go to Awakening Tribe meetings.  Yvonne published her game, SethWorld, in November.

Perhaps SethWorld gaming could spark a revival of Austin Seth Group meetings.  Perhaps there are others having meetings in Austin and I'm just not aware of it.

Well, that's the status of Austin Seth Groups for 2005 - from an extremely personal perspective, I guess.  But it's better than no perspective at all, yes?
